Gennie is a freelance clarinettist and bass clarinettist who performs with many orchestras and chamber groups around London. She performs regularly with woodwind quartet soundSPARK and woodwind duo The Ashdown Duo, who are artists with Music in Hospitals & Care.

Gennie is an experienced music facilitator, working with children from the early years up to adults. She currently works as the Assistant Curriculum Manager, Early Years and SEN/D Manager for Southwark Music Service, running and delivering Early Years Music programmes as well as co-ordinating the SEN/D provision across the borough. Alongside this, she works as a Music Practitioner for The Amber Trust, working with children who are blind or have visual impairments and their families, within the context of a music making environment. Gennie also works as a Little Soundabout and Soundabout Life Practitioner for Soundabout, working with children with PMLD and SLD and using music as an empowering communicative tool within family settings. She also runs workshops and other education programmes on a freelance basis, recently working with Yardarm Folk Orchestra and Under1Roof.
